Terms of Service

The rules for using Clipsy, purchasing processing minutes, and creating clips from your content.

Effective September 9, 2026

Plain-English summary: You keep your content. You give us the limited permission needed to process it. Use only media you have the right to use, review generated clips before publishing, and manage paid plans before renewal.

1. Agreement

Clipsy is a product operated by Pebble Work Labs, Inc. (“Pebble Work Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Pebble Work Labs, Inc. and govern access to and use of Clipsy’s websites, applications, and video-processing services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, using the Service, or purchasing a plan or credit pack, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms include our refund and cancellation and acceptable-use rules. If you use Clipsy for an organization, you represent that you can bind that organization.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to form a binding contract.

2. Accounts

You may sign in through a supported identity provider. Keep access to your account secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for the Service or others.

3. What Clipsy does

Clipsy processes long-form video or audio to create word-timestamped transcripts, suggest moments, crop speakers, add captions and branding, and render short-form clips. Suggestions and generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. You are responsible for reviewing every output before publishing or relying on it.

Features, supported formats, processing limits, and third-party integrations may change as the Service develops. We do not guarantee that a particular platform will accept or distribute an exported clip.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you upload and, as between you and Clipsy, the outputs generated from it. You grant Clipsy a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transcribe, analyze, modify, and transmit your content solely to operate, secure, support, and improve the Service. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to reasonable technical retention, backups, legal obligations, and de-identified operational data.

You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed for the content and the requested processing, including rights relating to copyright, music, trademarks, privacy, publicity, voices, and likenesses. Your content and conduct must follow the acceptable-use rules below.

5. Acceptable use

Upload or import only content you own or are authorized to process. Obtain any permissions required for music, footage, trademarks, voices, private information, and a person’s image or likeness. Do not use Clipsy to evade rights-management systems or misrepresent ownership.

You must not use Clipsy for content or conduct that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, unlawfully infringing, sexually exploitative, threatening, harassing, malicious, or intended to facilitate violence or serious harm. You must not create harmful impersonations, expose highly sensitive personal information, upload malware or stolen credentials, bypass access or usage limits, disrupt the Service, scrape it at unreasonable volume, resell access without permission, or use another person’s account.

We may investigate suspected violations; remove or restrict content; suspend processing; limit or terminate accounts; preserve evidence; and report conduct when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect people and systems. Report infringement, harmful content, or abuse through support.

6. Plans, credits, and billing

New accounts currently receive 60 one-time processing minutes without a card. Pro currently includes 300 minutes per month for $10 USD; Studio includes 1,500 minutes per month for $25 USD. Active Pro and Studio members may buy 500-minute packs for $10 USD, subject to a 3,000-minute unused purchased balance limit. Prices, taxes, plan limits, and promotional terms shown at checkout apply to your purchase and may change prospectively.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled. Stripe processes payments and stores payment credentials; Clipsy does not receive your full card number. You authorize recurring charges, plus applicable taxes, until cancellation. Manage plan changes, payment methods, invoices, and cancellation through the Stripe-hosted billing portal available in your Clipsy account.

Monthly included minutes expire at renewal and are replaced by the next grant. Signup-trial and purchased minutes currently do not expire. Analysis uses one minute per minute of source duration, rounded up, once for an episode. Rendering uses one minute per minute of output, rounded up per clip. Reserved minutes are released when a processing job fails or is canceled before successful completion.

7. Refunds and cancellation

You may cancel a subscription through Account → Manage billing. Unless checkout or the billing portal states otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period; access and remaining benefits continue until then. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not reverse the current charge. Deleting a project, signing out, or no longer using Clipsy does not cancel a subscription.

Subscription charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period begins, including for unused monthly minutes, partial months, or failure to cancel before renewal, except where required by law. Credit-pack purchases are generally final once minutes are delivered, except for duplicate or unauthorized charges, failure to deliver the purchased minutes, or where applicable law requires a refund.

Failed or canceled processing jobs release reserved minutes automatically; this is a credit adjustment, not a cash refund. Approved cash refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method, and we may remove unused credits associated with the refunded purchase. For a billing error, contact support with your account email and Stripe receipt or invoice ID—never your complete card number. Mandatory consumer rights where you live remain unaffected.

8. Cancellation, suspension, and termination

You may request account deletion through support. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, nonpayment, legal requirements, security threats, or material harm to the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—will survive.

9. Service ownership

Pebble Work Labs, Inc. and its licensors own the Service, including its software, interfaces, Clipsy branding, templates, and documentation. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you. Feedback may be used without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you as its source without permission.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers such as Microsoft Azure, Stripe, Google, and, when enabled, YouTube. Your use of their features may also be governed by their terms. Pebble Work Labs, Inc. is not responsible for third-party services, platform policy changes, outages, or content decisions.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Pebble Work Labs, Inc. disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pebble Work Labs, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. Pebble Work Labs, Inc.’s aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will defend and indemnify Pebble Work Labs, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or another person’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from Pebble Work Labs, Inc.’s own unlawful conduct.

14. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

These Terms are governed by the laws that apply to Pebble Work Labs, Inc., without regard to conflict-of-law principles, while preserving any mandatory rights you have under the law where you live.
